Sam's Baptism

Sam turned 8 and was baptised on the 13th of June. I am so proud of Sam. He is the most honest and loving little boy in the world. He was so excited to be baptised and so happy that we had so many friends and family there to support him! Chad baptised Sam, Grandma Howell spoke on the Holy Ghost, Grandpa Howell spoke on Baptism. Aunt Jenna played a musical number on the piano and Sam's cousins Ellie, Ellyse and Saydria sang the song When I am Baptised. Grandma Nada and Aunt Tonya said prayers. It was such a wonderful day filled with the spirit and friends and family. I love Sam so much and am so happy that he is my baby boy!---that's right always my baby!

Easter 2009

Yep, a little late....better late than never right? Chad was over seas for Easter this year. I wanted to still try and make it a great time even though we missed him a ton! Chad's mom stopped in for the holiday and we went to a few Easter egg hunts. One in Copperton where my sister-in-law Tonya lives and then my sister Jenna who works for KSL invited us to attend their Easter egg hunt at "This Is The Place." We had a great time and got lots of goods. Sunday after church we went back up to Copperton to have dinner with family. We had a great time but sure missed Dad!!

Military Ball

Chad and I get to have one night a year that we dress up, go out, and get down! We go to the Military Ball. I alway get a new dress, get my hair done and look so forward to a night with my husband! This year we went with Chad's friends Nick and his date Christy, Kyle and his girlfriend Randy. We had a great time and can't wait until next year!

So, as you all can see, I am terrible at blogging. I am great at reading the rest of your blogs, but not posting my own. Here I am going to start again! I don't want to go all the way back to January so I will do a quick review and get you all caught up on our crazy life!

Special Little Sam!!

This week at school Sam was chosen to be the Special Child of the Week. They sent home a questionnaire and we made a poster of his favorite things and some pictures to take to school and display! I want to write a few things about just how special of a child he is! Sam is one of the most kind-hearted people I have ever met. He genuinely wants to do the right thing and choose the right! He does not understand it when someone chooses wrong. He is a wonderful big brother and even though his brother likes to push his buttons and is good at it, Sam quickly forgives. He is always concerned about Ben and tries to prevent anything from ever happening to him. Sam has struggled with a lot in his short 7 years but always comes out ahead. Last week we had Sam's IEP meeting and the speech and special needs teachers both said that there is nothing more they could do for Sam! So he is now in the classroom full time which is amazing to see! I love Sam so much! I must have done something great to have Sam as my son!

Bed Bugs!!

Got your attention didn't I? No, we don't have bed bugs. Last night I kissed and tuched my boys in and said, "Night, night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite." As I walked out, little Ben sat straight up and said, "Mom, spier in my bed." (spider in my bed) I had to chuckle a bit and hug him and reassure him that mom was just saying that and there are no bugs in his bed but that didn't help. An hour later I came in to check on him and there he was in bed with his brother and all day today I have had to hear about spiers. So lesson learned.....two year olds take everything seriously! What a character!

My first....I mean Sam's first Science project!

Yep, it has already started! Sam got to choose an animal to do a report on and he chose Iguanas. So I run, that night, to the library and check out every book on those darn reptiles and read all about Iguanas! I volunteer on Wednesdays at the school, which was the following day, and come to find out it is just a small and very simple report....kind of fill-in-the-blanks and she already provided the information. So on top of that we had to make a poster or a diorama. So today Sam and I worked on that.....well, mostly me. So my second time around in school has already started. Sam seems to be pretty excited with the final project! And I know everything there is to know about Iguanas!

Feeding the Fish

Last weekend, we headed to one of our favorite places......Cabelas. While I was doing a little shopping, Chad, Ben and Grandma Nada were feeding the fish. I did not see this video until I was downloading my pictures and loved it. I thought I had to share it. Ben is such a little character and when he does talk, it is important! Enjoy!

It's Halloween Time!

This Halloween lasted longer than any holiday ever! It was filled with fun but I was getting pretty tired with it by the time it was finally here! I found this great Ben 10 costume for Sam which he loved and Jessica and I thought it would be the cutest thing ever for Jack to be Woody and Ben be Buzz Lightyear. It would have except Ben was scared to death of his costume. He kept telling me "No like it, Mom!" So after weeks of trying to bribe him, trick him and literally sticking him into it, he gave in and wore the jet pack. Jenna got Jess and I and the boys (oh! and Katelyn!) tickets to go to Trick-or-Treat Street down at South Town Expo! It was great fun! Sam was miles ahead of us knocking on the doors and getting his treats while we followed slowly behind with Ben knocking at each door also. He loved turning around and showing them his jet pack. It was a ton of fun! Then I had a Halloween dinner for a group of friends the next week. A fun family Halloween party at Jenni and Todd's home, Sam had a school Halloween party, we went to Jenna's work, Jaclyn's work and DMBA to trick-or-treat and then finally trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. So as you can see I was kind of glad it was over!.......don't tell my boys!

Our Meal Ticket!

So I will start out this post with yesterdays basketball practice with Sam! Our wonderful little Sam! He does remind me a bit of myself when I played ball! Mom and Dad always said I was more interested in everything going on outside of the game and so does Sam. He spent a lot of time pretending to choke the boy behind him, transform the other players into Ben 10 aliens, and show off a few of his dance moves! Gotta love him and laugh!

Christmas 2007

Christmas this year was spent in Utah......no Wyoming winter roads for us! Grandma and Grandpa Bryner came and spent the holiday with us and one of the best presents ever was Uncle Greg surprised us and came for Christmas. We hadn't be able to see him in 1 1/2 years! Christmas Eve was a winter wonderland and we just stayed put. The Chenworth Family came over and we enjoyed a homecooked meal from KFC and of course the Christmas movie of all time......The Christmas Story. It just gets better and better every year! After a few board games the 5 boys opened pj's and it never seems to amaze us how happy Sam can get over a pair of pjs!
